Ostara Spring Equinox Cards free printable template

Ostara Spring Equinox Cards - Do you like to send out seasonal cards to your family and friends? Check out below for a free printable and some tips to brighten up anyone's day.

Every Ostara, also known as the Spring Equinox, we take that as a chance to send our family and friends some happy mail.  I use any excuse I can to send grandparents and great grandparents cute little gifts from the kids.  I made up this Ostara Cards free printable template to make it easy for you to as well.  Kids love to be involved, and sending mail is so much fun!  Plus, maybe if they are lucky whoever they send mail to will reciprocate and send them back a surprise in the mail too!

My friends and family are used to my eccentricities.  I am the only pagan in my family, but lots of pagan-friendly friends and family.  I think even if people get cards that say Ostara on it, they don’t care as they take it in the spirit it was meant.  It’s more fun for everyone as they get to learn something new, and not following the Pagan wheel of the year it’s a surprise when they may receive a random gift from us.  Seriously, make friends who are part of a different spirituality, it makes things much more unexpected with extra holidays around and you learn so much!

Do you prefer to do things paperless?  You like to save the environment?  Or simply want to save time and resources by doing it all online?  I have another option for you too, I got a sample at Paperless Post to try out their really cool site.  It’s a great alternative to still send some fun cards to your family and friends, but a lot easier as you can do it all online.  Some really fun ways to customize a card to send to someone.  It’s easy to find individual cards for each person you want to send a fun surprise too, there are even free options so make sure you check it out!

Share the Love on Mother’s Day

Share the love on Mother's day - Every mom should feel appreciated and loved on Mother's Day, share the love on Mother's Day to the mom's in your life, friends, relatives. Free printable.

DSC_0059When I had my first baby a good friend of mine sent me a Mother’s Day card in the mail.  It made my MONTH!  I was so excited to be a Mother and always found Mother’s Day to be a hard holiday when I desperately wanted to be a mom too.  Now I was finally celebrating Mother’s Day with my own treasured baby.  Nothing could be more perfect.  I was RIDICULOUSLY excited about my first Mother’s Day, we’re talking kids on Christmas morning here.  I had problem’s sleeping the night before I was so pumped.  The day came and it was perfect!  I got to celebrate with my husband and baby, even though it was raining we had a great floor picnic and just loved our time together.

Being a mom is really HARD.  I am sorry, but until you are a mom, you have no idea what we go through.  Sleep deprivation does not even begin to adequately describe my state, colic, teething babies, PPD, toddlers, tantrums, breastfeeding, solids, fevers, relationships, illness, careers, all of it is so hard and although you know your kids love you and your husband appreciates it, there is nothing as supportive as your fellow moms.  They are there for you through thick and thin, your biggest high’s and lowest lows, whether your local moms, birth groups, friends, relatives, etc. They know what you go through and have your back.

I will never forget the feeling I got from opening my first Mother’s Day card from my friend.  Ever since that year, I make it my mission to share that love and support with other mothers.  I pick three to six moms I know.  I try to pick a pregnant mom, one from each of my birth groups, my picking selection is pretty broad actually.  I don’t even remember who all I have sent them too.  Oops, if I send you more than one Mother’s Day card, sorry, you just must be THAT awesome of a mom!

I challenge you to pick some mom’s in your life and send them a card for Mother’s Day thanking them for Mother's Day Happy Mailall their hard work for their children too.  Every mother needs to hear what a great mom she is on a regular basis, think of some moms who need or deserve to hear it and send them a card.  You can leave it at that and send them just a card, or add something to it as a special gift.  One year I sent chocolate bars and face masks as a mini-spa pack, I sent Tim Horton’s gift cards another year, Starbucks cards another year, cute small things to let them know they are appreciated.

If you need a card here is a free printable to use as a card, you can buy a card, but I know I prefer to spend more on the little surprise inside instead 🙂

Friends & Family Connecting Challenge

When was the last time you wrote a card or letter for a friend or family member for fun? How long has it been since you received a surprise package in the mail for no reason?  It FELT nice didn’t it?  But like me, it’s probably been way too long!

Friends and Family Connecting Challenge - IG

I am challenging every one of you to send out at least one card/letter for every week in April, that’s four to five.  In preparation for April I want you to think about which friends and family members would appreciate a little surprise in the mail.  Gather up at least four addresses, but if you are already on a roll why not grab more!

Why send mail?

Everyone loves to get mail that is not bills.  Whether it is a letter, card, or little present, it hardly matters what, but send them some love to let them know how much you care.  If you have the time to make a hand-made card I know they will love it.  In case you cannot there is a great solution below.

FELT

I was approached by FELT to sample their product.  I had never heard of FELT, but after downloading the app I was really excited to try it out!  For those (like me) who have never heard of it, it’s an app you download to your phone to send out “handmade” cards.  You can pick a picture from your phone’s photo album, use their embellishments if desired, and personalize the inside.  You can address it right from the app and mail it too!  Honestly, it would have taken me less than five minutes to mail a card, but I was so busy checking out all the options it took longer.

I have already send a card to a friend, a card with pictures of my kids on it to my Granny (this one was EPIC, a pic of my kids naked bums in the tub with the tag line “I Love you to the MOON and back”, come on that’s awesome right?!?!).  You can mail in the US (which is where this is) but they will also address it to International countries as well, meaning if I have/want to send a card to family in England or friends in the US then it is easier AND cheaper to do it through this app.  You can send your first card (in the US) free, I recommend you trying it out to see how easy it is.

Check out how easy it is to send a letter below, fast, easy, and so cute!  I know my parents and Grandparents cannot get enough of pictures of my kids, so sending them some pictures through this app is a great way to make it quick and easy for them to see adorable pictures of their grand and great-grandkids and stay connected.
