Coloured Wax Pumpkin

This is a really fun craft I am using to represent the four elements on my altar.

Coloured Wax Pumpkin - This is super easy and great for teaching kids the quarters and colours. A perfect addition to your Samhain altar.

Grab a pumpkin and four crayons to represent each quarter (blue, yellow, red, and green) and glue them around the pumpkin in the corresponding compass directions (North green, east yellow, south red, west blue) with a glue gun.  Take a blow dryer and melt the crayons.  It’s messy, hot, and splatters, so keep that in mind when choosing your location.

Keep heating the wax until it looks the way you want it.

I also did it with smaller pumpkins making a rainbow out of them.
