Probably kitchen utensils. Unless asked for, I am a believer than mom should not get stuff for cooking and cleaning aka household stuff.
What is your favorite band/group/singer?
It changes so often! I really like James Blunt, The Beatles, Taylor Swift, we listen to a lot of Disney as well.
What is your favorite TV show?
Again, changes so often, right now it is Reign, but my all-time favourite would be American Dreams.
If you could pick up right now and move anywhere, where would you go and why?
Vancouver. Still in Canada but no snow. Very outdoorsy area, great rivers to paddle, and tons of vegetarian food.
Where is your favorite place to go shopping?
It used to be Target but they left Canada and now I’m sad!
What is the one kitchen appliance you would not be able to live without?
Kitchen Aid Mixer, make muffins, dip, bread, cookies, omelets, pancakes, that thing gets used a lot in my kitchen.
How often do you go on play dates?
It really depends, with my daughter in Nursery School, and me working there isn’t a lot of time, maybe once or twice a month.
What is your favorite date night activity?
A nice walk outside looking at the stars, maybe going to a ceramic painting place and painting something.
If you could go back in time and change anything, what would you change?
This is a pretty deep question. I was very close with my cousin growing up and lost her as a teenager to an alcohol-related car crash, if I could go back in time it would be to spend more time with her before she died and/or change what happened so she was still here today.
I am so excited to have been nominated by Kara from Fit Chick Next Door for the Liebster Award and The Most Versatile Blogger award and Danielle from Serene Mom for the Liebster Award as well. Kara has been inspiring me to try and take some time for myself and fit more yoga in, as well as tackle some new beauty products so I can teach my girly girl daughter about it when the time comes and not seem so inept. Danielle is an awesome mom. Her posts make me feel better about myself and supported as a mom, since other moms face the same challenges that I do too. I love both blogs so much and have been learning a lot from both. I am honored to have these ladies select me to share the blog love.
Why did you choose this topic for your blog? Parenting, vegetarian and pagan are really the only things I know right now, so why not write about what is currently relevant.
What makes you smile when you’re having a bad day? My children, my toddler is so clever, she is quick to give hugs and kisses if she thinks you are sad and the stuff she says just blow my mind. My son is so happy and laughs all the time and loves to snuggle. Hard to be in a bad mood with these two around!
How do you define happiness? It’s all relative! Happiness is having a loving family, a place to live, food to eat, good health, children growing and happy, and a husband to be my best friend.
What is your favorite quote? “I won’t think about that now, I’ll think about it tomorrow” – Scarlet O’Hara from Gone With The Wind.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Hmmm, that’s a hard question, there are tons! I would love to have time to get in more activity, pre-baby I loved yoga, kayaking, and walking and I really miss it!
What is your favorite thing about yourself? My ability to function on no sleep!
What is your biggest fear? Messing up my kid I guess
Who/what inspires you? A lot, my loving family and all the struggles they have overcome, my children to be a better person, better mother, better wife.
What motivates you? Life! I want to do and see it all!
Which song makes you happy? Any Disney song.
I really like elephants.
I have lived in three provinces.
My favourite city in Canada is Vancouver.
I love sandwiches.
My favourite colour is purple.
I was a cheerleader for three years and a captain for one of those while in CEGEP (college).
The biggest waterfall I have ran in a kayak is 25 feet in Mexico.
My favourite holiday is Christmas.
I connect the most with the element of water.
I used to want to run a doggy day care growing up.
I cannot wait to introduce my children to Harry Potter and all things Disney!
