Wearing Po with Bee

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog!  I’m new to this whole blogging thing but hoping to give it a go.   My goal is to post twice a week, a regular post on Sunday on my thoughts, tips, stories, crafts, basically whatever comes into my head and a recipe on Wednesdays. Looking to make a few changes in my life and putting myself out there and starting a blog is one of my personal goals.

A little about me, I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian (which means no meat of any kind or fish, but I eat milk products and eggs) and live an eclectic pagan lifestyle.  Before kids I loved scrapbooking, reading, yoga, walking my dogs, travelling, experimenting with new recipes, playing board games, camping, and white water kayaking, which I really miss.

After kids, I have no time for pretty much any of that, I have to simplify cooking and make simpler meals my toddler will actually eat in way less time than I used to have, my husband and I co-sleep with baby, I breastfeed both my kids, babywear and cloth diaper.  I had my first in hospital and my second as an at home water birth just before Christmas this year. That said, I believe all moms need to support each other in whatever ways they choose to raise their kids, whether formula fed or breast fed, disposable or cloth diapers, co-sleeping, whatever, everyone loves their babies and wants what’s best for them and I embrace that.  I will write my opinions and what works for me and my family but I do not believe it will work for everyone, just want to share my experience in case it can help others.

Wearing both my lovelies

I have a beautiful two-year-old daughter, Bee, a handsome son who is almost six-months old, Po and a loving husband, Thor, (no those are not their real names but to protect their privacy I shall use nicknames, I ask anyone who knows me in real life to please not use their names on my blog either).  I work from home as a medical transcriptionist every day during my toddler/baby’s joint nap time after lunch and attempt to run a household and keep everyone clean, fed, and basically alive.  This blog will also include some of our adventures and hopefully inspire you to have some of your own!

Thanks for visiting my page and I hope you enjoy my ramblings!  Can’t wait to get to know you all.

Hil

How fun – I just now had the chance to come poke around a bit after you responded to my tenting with a toddler post. It sounds like we have a lot in common (besides camping 🙂 ). I hope to see you around my “neighborhood” again – I’ll definitely be back here again soon! Lisa

Thanks for the comment on my tinker space article. I love that you post about pagan festivals. We are preparing for Mabon now. I’m also a new blogger, just started in July. 🙂 Hopefully we cross paths again.

Me too! Thank you so much for stopping by. My husband would love your blog, all things science/math and teaching it to our kids is so important to him.

Hi, Hil! I am a new blogger too, I started about one year ago. It’s great to get to know other people in other places who share our interests. I also have two daughters (6.5 and 8) who were born at home, I breadfed them for four years and we co-slept all that time. Now that they sleep all night and I could do that too, decided to start blogging and take hours from my sleep, am I crazy? But this is so fun it’s worth it!
    Hugs,
    Pili
